Course Description
In her presentation, Movement is Life - and other lessons on treating children, Dr. Tracy Barnes will be covering the human fascial systems, how to alleviate fascial dysfunctions in the pediatric population, and children for spinal subluxations. This will be a comprehensive presentation with practical applications and demonstrations.

Tracy Barnes, DC, DICCP, CKTI
Dr. Barnes is a chiropractor with a private practice in Louisville, KY. She received her doctorate degree (DC) in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic - West in 1992 and an advanced degree in clinical chiropractic pediatrics (DICCP) in 1996. She has worked in a variety of settings from a full-time position at the Kentuckiana Children's Center for children with special needs to a multi-disciplinary practice to solo private practice.

She combines a variety of therapeutic techniques in her work including functional kinesiology, myofascial release, KinesioTaping, Activator methods and craniosacral therapy. She has been the anatomy and physiology instructor at Advanced Massage Therapeutics School since 1999 and also teaches nationally and internationally on a variety of pediatric topics.

In 2004, she became a Certified KinesioTaping Instructor (CKTI) and has taught the KinesioTaping method all over the US as well as England, France, Israel, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. She has published multiple articles on pediatric care of special needs children in peer-reviewed and professional journals.
